How We Started
A Local Business, Built for Local Properties
Hunter Haven Homes grew out of a frustration we heard from cabin owners again and again: their property manager was responsive until they signed the contract, then impossible to reach. Cleaners were inconsistent. Maintenance issues dragged on. And no one seemed to actually care about the property the way the owner did.
We started this company to be the exception. As women who live and work in the North Georgia Mountains, we built Hunter Haven Homes around the kind of management we'd want for our own properties — attentive, transparent, and genuinely local.
We keep our portfolio intentionally small. Not because we can't grow, but because we believe the quality of care matters more than the number of properties we manage. Every cabin we take on gets our full attention — not a fraction of it.
We've spent years in these mountains — hiking the trails, eating at the local spots, and getting to know the vendors, the seasons, and the rhythms of life up here. When we started Hunter Haven Homes, we weren't building a business from a spreadsheet. We were solving a problem we'd seen firsthand, in a place we genuinely love.
